Nooooo say it ain't so, another who has succumb to the big box stores. There are a few IKEA stores close by in southern Ontario and it's becoming the most common stuff you see in the second hand stores, usually half put together and missing hardware or just broken.
There's nothing wrong with a FEW new things around the house. I prefer new textiles (no stains/smells) and the girlfriend put the kabash on the retro cutlery, so we had a little shopping to do
They do have pretty sweet textiles, you have point. I caught myself flipping thru the catalogue while making coffee they've got interesting accessories for just about every room.
What a teaser! I'm dying for the next installment.
