This lovely 1950 Crosley Coloradio 10-135 (D-25 BE) in "Delux White" with chrome trim arrived on my doorstep the other day. Well, landed is likely closer to what happened. When I picked it up, I could hear the sad tinkle of broken vacuum tubes. UPS strikes again.
So this guy is going to need a spot of TLC. Does anyone have experience in this arena? I've been lucky thus far and all of my vintage electronic finds have been fully operational. Regardless, it's a handsome specimen and should come back to life with a new set of tubes. Until that time it'll grace my nightstand as a decoration.
Broken vacuum tubes are the pits, but it looks wonderful in frosty white and silver!
