love it looooove it! I've been looking for just the right vintage fan and now I have a goal..Reminds me of a propeller(screw)on a boat or submarine. "Ahoy turn the screw full throttle and blow the ballast tanks" we're surfacing for a better look at this little gem of a fan.
Those are nice lookin fans. Since my dad's retired, he spends his days restoring antique and vintage fans. He did a Silver Swan a while back and painted it Cadillac pearl white! Very slick. Vornado are also very cool looking retro fans. If you want to kill some time you can browse the galleries and forum on the fan collectors site: http://www.fancollectors.org/ Pretty interesting stuff.
Very Very nice!

DeleteWhy do I feel like i've been cheated on?
ReplyDeleteMy birthday and Christmas are coming up soon ;). If you couldn't tell, that was a hint.
DeleteThat is one sexy piece of vintage mechanics! I bet she runs just as good as she looks!
ReplyDeleteEven if it didn't I'd just have this this out to look at!

DeleteWide, strong and fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI know that this joke is long past it's prime, but this comment is ripe for a "that's what she said."

What a great hobby! I'd imagine that there's a pretty big market for that kind of service. Does he have a collection of his own or just refurbish?
DeleteBeautiful! When were they produced?
ReplyDeleteIf the website is anything to go by, then 1937-1942. There were a few different iterations, all of which are equally stunning.
DeleteOhhh I love it....all that flashy chrome!
ReplyDeleteMe too! One popped up on Craigslist the other day but with a price of $250. Eeek!
