Apologies again for the delayed posting, but the girlfriend is still visiting and we've been out on the town for the last few days. We've also made a small (and temporary) addition to the household.
This is Henry.
He's a rather adorable, and cuddly, and kinda stinky 6-week old lab puppy.
All of his brothers and sisters have gone to homes, so he's our little foster baby (our 5th so far) until the SLPR can find him a permanent family.
With a face like that, I don't think it'll prove too difficult a task.
Know anyone near the St. Louis area who'd be interested in this little bundle of furry joy or want to learn more about becoming a shelter foster parent? Hit me up. You can find my email at the top-right corner of this page.
What a fun way to have a pet without really having a pet! He's a cutie, that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteIt's fun, but sure is a lot of work. They're just like little babies needing feeding, potties, play time, etc. I love being able to help out though. There's so many animals out there who need a good home.
DeleteI don't think I'd ever be able to foster, I would never want to give the fostered animals back. haha.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great option even if you are looking for a keeper. Call it a "try before you buy" period. This way you get to see how your prospective pet behaves outside of the shelter before making any long-term commitments. If it doesn't work out, they go on to someone else and you've made a difference in a homeless animal's life. It's a win-win.

ReplyDeleteI love all of our foster babies :)
DeleteThat is one adorable little guy! Kudos to you for fostering. It really helps to socialize the dogs and get them ready for adoption. We already have a full house of pets, or we would be up for it too. I also bring them to the warehouse quite a bit. An older black lab, Marley, a border collie mix, Violet, and an 11 month old pit bull named Jax. They're great dogs, but as I said the inn is full. :) Good Luck with Henry!
ReplyDeleteThanks! He's found a home now, so we are super excited.
