Okay, I shouldn't laugh at that... but I am!
lol You've got the sickness too. We just can't help it.
I haven't laughed this hard in ages. It's so true. We vintage enthusiasts have no sense of propriety when we get a bead on something we consider REALLY newsworthy and important...like Dorothy Thorpe glasses. While the bombing was heartbreaking and tragic, I have to admit that your look into our depravity is hilarious.
I blame it on thrift shopping. You've gotta train those eyes to pick out any hint of MCM goodies and that skill just doesn't turn itself off, no matter how annoying it becomes to friends and family members.
LOL! Yes, Hannah (Secondhand Hannah) showed me this and I totally cracked up! It's like we have a disorder, that only other mid-century modern enthusiasts would understand. Since you put it out there, did anyone else (Warning: Former Season Of Mad Men Spoiler Alert) notice the type of side table the character Lane Pryce of Mad Men hung himself off of? I honestly felt the same doom as I noticed it was a "Lane" side table. I thought there was some direct significance of course! Again…the disorder! It's like Vintage Modern ADD, or V-MADD we can call it! It sucks away our ability to see and understand what is really happening around us at times, because we can only focus on the great danish modern credenza or lamp in the background. At any rate, I think you may have company in hell. LOL
I haven't yet caught up on the last two seasons of Mad Men, but I certainly did that during the others. I think I pay more attention to the sets than the actual story.
